FAQs

How thick can the material be?

It works best with standard plastic cards (like credit cards, gift cards or packaging). Materials that are too thick or too rigid may not cut cleanly.

Do the picks work?

Yes. The cutter creates a standard pick shape, so the feel is very similar to regular picks. The final feel depends on the material you choose, which lets you experiment with different flex and grip.

Is it complicated to use?

Not at all. You just insert the material and press. It takes a few seconds and feels very natural from the first try. It’s not only quick, it’s also surprisingly satisfying, almost addictive to use.

Picks are cheap. Is it worth it?

If you only use one type and never lose them, maybe not. But if you like experimenting, always need a pick nearby, or enjoy making something your own, it quickly becomes more useful than expected.

Just arrived. I can't wait to try it out. First impressions: it feels solid, surprisingly heavy, and very well built.

You can never have enough picks. I've spent the last week trying different materials and I've found the perfect one. I don't care anymore about losing my picks lol.

The picks the punch makes don't have a bevel but I'm using the included sanding tool and so far so good.

Picks have the perfect Dunlop Tortex shape -normally need a quick sanding before playing though.

I mostly got it for fun but I ended up using it way more than I expected. It’s oddly satisfying making picks out of random stuff lying around.

Been playing for years and never thought about making my own picks like this. Not every material works great, but when it does, it really does.

Edges needed a quick sanding but overall I love the idea. I don’t look like some polished player anyway, so handmade picks kinda fit my vibe.
